Megan Fox was amazed by how “socially awkward” Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen were when she worked with them.

The three stars appeared in 2001 movie Holiday in the Sun together, and Megan was initially bowled over to be working with the twins. Mary-Kate and Ashley began their careers on American television show Full House in 1987, when they were just nine months old. Mary-Kate recently said she feels they were “little monkey performers” as kids, and although she doesn’t regret her upbringing she wouldn’t want anyone else to go through it.
Megan can understand what she means, as the sisters were not like normal teenagers when she worked with them. “They’re nice girls. The first time I had ever been around someone really famous was them. We were kids, I was about 15 and so were they. I saw how awkward socially they were with large groups of people because they had been famous their whole lives and looked at their whole lives and I didn’t understand why anyone would be like that,” Megan told Diablo Cody during an interview for her new show Red Band Trailer. “I had no understanding about why you would shut down and be afraid and have phobias, but as it happens to you you sort of develop them and become crazy.”
Megan was born in Tennessee, and knew she wanted to be an actress from the age of two. She eventually persuaded her mother to take her to Los Angeles to pursue her dream when she was older.
The star stayed at the famous Oakwood apartment complex in Burbank, Los Angeles County, when she first arrived. It is well known for being the place of choice for young stars starting out, and Megan had fun there.
“My mom had to come with me when I started because she didn’t want to leave me alone when I was 17 because I was a lunatic, so she came out with me until I was 18,” Megan explained, later adding she was probably younger than 17 when she first moved. “I f**king did stay at the Oakwood. I was there with Shia LaBeouf was leaving and Hilary Duff would come there on the weekends and everybody would have hot tub parties. I was there.”
